I met Lindsay and Dante on the morning of their wedding and it quickly became clear to me that they were ready for a PARTY! They surrounded themselves with a huge wedding party so the day began getting ready with an exciting energy that buzzed among their friends. Just as so many loved ones came together to celebrate, it seemed that the rest of the details of the day came perfectly together to celebrate them too. The outdoor ceremony was perfectly lit by the overcast day with not a harshly-lit angle in sight. Twinkly lights, flowers and music from a live band carried the whimsical liveliness of the ceremony into the reception hall. The grand Grosse Pointe Yacht Club had been the perfect venue to capture the tone of this extravagant and exuberant couple.

It was important to me to capture the fun atmosphere of Lindsay and Dante’s day because having fun was what brought them together to begin with. The first time they met, Dante had gotten Lindsay’s attention with his shirtless “Magic Mike” moves on the dance floor (all of their guests and I got to witness a similar performance from Dante on their wedding night). With a gorgeous venue saturated with friends, family, dancing, music, gelato and Chick-fil-A- it was impossible to miss the love in each detail. I had the thought “movies try to replicate moments like this”, and I’m so glad that I was able to be a part of recording such a cinematic reality.
